ISSP Swimmers win at Cognita Games

This year marked the first ever Cognita Games held at St. Andrew’s School Green Valley in Rayong, Thailand. Eight students from the International School Saigon Pearl’s swim team competed against athletes traveling from Cognita Schools in Singapore and Thailand. The Sunbird Swimmers competed in both the Swimming Gala and a triathlon. 


Our Swim Team joins the Cognita Games in Bangkok

The International School Saigon Pearl’s Swim Team is proud to announce they will be competing in the Cognita Games in Bangkok, Thailand. The competition will be held May 31st to June 2nd.  The eight 3rd-5th grade swimmers will be competing in a variety of events including individual races along with relays.


Tet Holiday Fair

To celebrate the year of snake, we would like to invite you, yours friends, family to Tet Festival 2013. This year's Tet celebration will be held on Sat. 26, 2012.


BOOK FAIR - READING MAKES YOU A STAR

In this modern world there has been a major development in diverse creative media to help children explore the world. However, books for children have always been a major concern for parents because the book is a wonderful method of communication. A good book allows children to become more sophisticated in their first social relationships.


ISSP Book Fair

ISSP will be hosting a Book Fair on November 28, 29 and 30 from 8 am to 4:30 pm in the MPR.


Terry Fox Month

We are excited to be kicking off Terry Fox month this November here at ISSP!

 

Terry Fox was a young Canadian who suffered from bone cancer. When he was 18 years old, his leg was amputated because of his illness. In honor of other cancer patients, Terry Fox decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research. His journey became known as The Marathon of Hope.

 

 

 


International Week 2012

As an International School with students from 27 different nationalities, celebrating the cultural diversity of our student body is important.  In order to celebrate our similarities and differences, we held a series of events during our International Week on October 24, 25 and 26th.  These activities embodied one of our Expected School Wide Learning Results (ESLRs):


MAP Testing

On September 11, 12 and 13, students in grades three through five took the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) tests. MAP tests are standards-based and provide international norms for student performance.Tests are administered twice each year, in September and May, to determine each child’s instructional level and to measure academic growth over time
